About Me
I'm an Australian high school art teacher, artist, and aspiring mountaineer. My art practice has taken me to Europe and North America, where over the last decade I have exhibited and studied at various Universities and residencies. I create bright, bold, uplifting work which explores my own experience of immersion or 'flow' I get whilst making and seeing.
This interest overlaps with my movement practices of martial arts, running, mountaineering and all things sun sea and sweat. I hold a black belt in Shinbudo Karate, studied Kung Fu under the guidance of Shaolin Monks in China, completed three marathons, climbed a few high mountains on different continents and spent a year cutting my climbing teeth in the French Alps of Chamonix France in 2017. I'm based out of Sydney, Australia.
I believe that if someone has a dream, no matter how obscene it may seem, they can achieve it. My mission is to support and inspire other women to shake off fear and doubt and take the bold leap to realise their dreams. That's why I'm a teacher, an artist, avid storyteller and writer, and that's why my personal project is to climb Everest in 2020.
I'm also a staff writer for Womenclimb, a UK based climbing magazine, and am graciously is sponsored by F45 North Sydney.
